Mesmerising AI visionary artist Glamoph takes the viewer into a realm of creative expression, a perfect blend of glamour and sophistication, where AI becomes a playground for visual exploration and imagination knows no boundaries. Hailing from Japan, Glamoph maintains artistic anonymity to steer the attention away from the artist and focus on the art.

What led you to become an AI artist?
My motivation to become an AI artist began with an interest in how AI, a cutting-edge technology, could transform creative expression. Fascinated by the possibilities of AI, I decided to explore the field in depth. I use AI to bring new perspectives to existing works of art or to create new art that has never been seen before. It comes from my passion to continue to explore new forms of art by combining the power of AI with human creativity. The fusion of AI and art can open up new ways of expression and new possibilities for the visual arts. For me, it is a very exciting challenge and one that I will continue to explore.

AI is your artistic tool, what do you explore visually?
In my work, I explore a wide range of visual themes and concepts. The beauty of AI is that it allows me to push beyond traditional boundaries and create visual expressions that may not have been previously possible. One area I am particularly interested in is the intersection of the natural world and digital landscapes. I often use AI to reinterpret natural elements and phenomena, creating a fusion of the organic and the synthetic. This creates a unique visual language that challenges our perception of reality. Another theme I often delve into is the visual representation of emotions and thoughts. With AI, I can create abstract visualisations that offer a glimpse into the human mind and its complexities. And of course, I’m always experimenting with new forms and techniques. AI provides a vast playground for visual exploration, and I’m constantly discovering new possibilities.

Where is the role of a contemporary visual artist going with artificial intelligence?
As an AI artist, I see the role of contemporary visual artists evolving significantly with the advent of artificial intelligence. AI offers a new set of tools that can extend and enhance our creative capabilities. It allows us to experiment with new forms of expression and to push the boundaries of what is possible in visual art. In the future, I believe that the role of the contemporary artist will not only involve creating art but also training and collaborating with AI. Artists will be able to teach AI about their style, their techniques, and their vision, and then work with the AI to create new pieces that push beyond their individual capabilities.

At the same time, AI also brings new challenges. It forces us to reconsider what it means to be creative and to question the nature of art itself. This can lead to exciting new discussions and discoveries in the field of contemporary art. I see AI as a powerful collaborator for the contemporary artist.

What inspires you?
I draw inspiration from a wide range of sources: everyday life, nature, other artworks, and different cultures. In particular, abstract shapes and colours, human relationships, and environmental changes have influenced my art.

To what extent colour plays a part in your art?
Colour plays a significant part in my work. It is one of the fundamental elements that shape the emotional and visual impact of my pieces. I often use colour to convey certain moods or to evoke specific responses. The beauty of working with AI is that it allows me to experiment with colour in ways that would be challenging or even impossible by traditional means. I can use AI to generate novel colour combinations, to manipulate colours in unconventional ways, or to explore the impact of colour on different visual forms and structures.

However, the use of colour in my work is not just about aesthetics. I also consider the symbolic and cultural meanings of different colours. This often adds an additional layer of depth and complexity to my pieces. Colour is not just a component of my art – it is a powerful tool that I use to communicate and to provoke thought.

The process behind your art, how do you put together an AI creation?
When creating AI art, my process begins with an idea or theme that I want to explore, something that inspires my creativity. Next, data related to the theme is collected. These data provide the material for AI to learn and understand. Once the data is gathered, AI algorithms are used to analyse and learn from the data. This step allows AI to find patterns in the data and create something new from it. The AI’s output is then validated and edited to the appropriate form. While the creation of AI art involves these steps, it is also an exploratory process that is always full of new discoveries and surprises.
